Favorite Scarf

This project started out as a request from a friend. He wanted an all black scarf. At the time I had just discovered Fisherman’s Rib and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to practice it. I acquired some black Worsted Twist (now discontinued) from Purl Soho and got to work. I was still working there at the time, so using their yarn made the most sense.

Although my buddy wanted an all-black scarf, I ended up not having enough black yarn to reach the desired length. So, I made a substitution and used blue yarn to complete the final portion and that caused him to change his mind about the whole thing. That was fine with me because this was an unpaid commission. I thought the blue accent gave it a nice touch.

That’s the story of how I ended up making my favorite scarf.
