Seeds for the Future

I had no idea what to expect when I was transitioning out of the Navy. Despite being on dry land, I was certainly sailing through uncharted waters. We had just finished renovating our house, my mom was still in need of support through her cancer treatments, I didn’t know whether to work or go to school. I wasn’t even sure if getting out the Navy was the right decision. Fortunately, knitting this blanket helped me navigate all of that uncertainty. Rather than drown in liquor and bad decisions, I took the helm and began turning my life around.

Note: I want to go back in time and kick my past self for not taking the time to clean up the background when taking these photos. Please ignore the mess and do your best to appreciate the blanket. That mess is certainly a sign of those times.
